Applications and Libraries

• Ekahau Perl module - Interface to Ekahau Positioning Engine. Also available on CPAN.
• serialserver.pl - A Perl script for Windows that makes a serial port available via TCP. Very useful for testing RFID equipment.
• We extended interceptty (written by Scott Gifford, one of this project's participants) to allow it to create pseudo-tty's connected to TCP sockets or arbitrary programs. This effectively turns it into a monitoring serial port emulator, which is very useful for remote operation of RFID equipment.

Patches

We also have some patches for various applications we're using. We've made these patches available to the applications' authors, and hope they or something similar are included at some point in a mainstream release.

• wine-comm.patch - Eliminate some warnings and minor errors in Wine when using a pseudo-tty as a serial port.
• A patch to synce-serial scripts allows automatic configuration, which we use when configuring multiple PDAs for our tour guide.
